isaiah kai maylad is a writer/director drawn to stories that come from quiet places, yet speak volumes.

his passion for storytelling hails from growing up in a filipino-american household full of Shel Silverstein rhymes, obsessive Raiders of the Lost Ark rewinds, and boisterous family karaoke nights.

isaiah previously worked as a team member of wong fu productions, where he wrote, directed, and edited numerous short films, sketches, and variety shows. his time at wong fu further developed his skills as an all-around filmmaker and allowed him to work on passion projects that showcased AAPI talent in front of and behind camera. isaiah has directed and collaborated with many brands such as Netflix, Lexus, and A-Sha Noodles. isaiah is an alum of UC San Diego and is based out of los angeles.
